Often, when discussing active shooter training, we get hyper focused on the event. By doing so, we miss our opportunity to teach people what they can do to prevent the attack in the first place. So, this session will begin by taking a look at some pre-event indicators. We will discuss the human behavioral cues that can be observed and learn the importance of context and relevance. We will then discuss the importance of intent over the commonly asked question of 'what was the motive.' Finally, we will discuss the immediate actions during an attack, and provide some context to Run, Hide, Fight.
